Random Disneyland Fact, 3x
disneylandphotosterpy: Indiana Jones Adventure’s finale is similar to being in a car wash: your vehicle and the rolling ball don’t move either forwards or backwards. The whole room/tunnel slides back around you, and it creates the illusion of movement to the human eye. Tony Baxter got the idea for the trick while actually sitting in a LA area gas station car wash and observing the perception of...

Little Known Disneyland Fact of the Day:
disneylandphotosterpy: The voice of the mummy inside Haunted Mansion (What’s that? Louder!) is Dal McKennon, who also provides the Big Thunder Mountain Safety Spiel (Hang on to them hats ‘n glasses…). The Unknown Road: Did you know? →
theunknownroad: In the Haunted Mansion, at Disneyland, there is a portrait of a young woman that changes into the Medusa that is hanging in the entrance hall of the Haunted Mansion. Did you notice that it looks awfully a lot like the girl that is dressed as a pirate in the painting in the skeleton’s tavern in Pirates of the Caribbean? It’s because these two pieces were by the same...
